A 65km Walk For Scripture Access:

From Wilderness to Where God’s Word Dwells With Us

On September 30, Ps. Kim Leong walked 65km walk across Singapore in a powerful act of solidarity for the millions living in spiritual wilderness — 1,103 language groups in Asia still waiting to hear God’s Word in a language that speaks to their hearts. His journey reflects the heart of illumiNations Asia: ensuring Scripture access for every person, in every language.

Now, we invite you to continue this journey with him throughout the month of October. By giving a verse for every step taken, Ps. Kim Leong’s 106,557 paces would translate into a gift of three full Bibles — accelerating Bible translation work across communities still waiting for Scripture in their heart language.

This initiative echoes the vision behind the All Access Goals, where collaboration, sacrifice, and action come together to move us closer to seeing God’s Word available throughout Asia. Stories like this walk stand alongside other testimonies of obedience and faith found in Impact Stories, reminding us that Scripture access is not abstract — it is deeply human.

As Ps. Kim Leong’s steps crossed streets and neighborhoods, they symbolized the unseen journeys of translators, church leaders, and communities highlighted in stories such as God Calls and 25 Old Testament Stories. Each step mirrors the steady, faithful progress of translation teams working verse by verse, language by language.

Let’s transform Asia into a place where Heaven meets Earth, echoing the hope and celebration of God’s dwelling among us during the Feast of Tabernacles. When you choose to join the movement or learn more about how Bible translation works, you become part of a journey that turns footsteps into Scripture and endurance into eternal impact.

Globally, partners such as the Wycliffe Global Alliance affirm that sustained, collective action — like this 65km walk — plays a vital role in bringing God’s Word to language communities still waiting.
