Starting in East Asia on Week1 with sayings from Agur, we will progress, alphabetically, through Amos, Asaph and Daniel before concluding our first 7 days with King David.
By Day 50, we will discover how Haggai’s focus on community aligns with Indo China’s cultures that value communal worship, how Lemuel’s writings reflect the philosophical traditions of Southeast Asia that use folklore and proverbs for moral guidance, and how Obadiah’s poetry on national judgment relates to South Asian language groups dealing with unresolved historical grievances.
Through a series of 7 weekly highlights, we will come to celebrate the variety of literary styles that contribute to the richness of the Bible, while uncovering the profound unity of Scripture’s 40 inspired authors and our mission to eradicate Bible poverty in Asia by 2033.
