Forty-two days, six weeks now have passed,
A spiritual calendar, built to last.
From ECHOES OF PENTECOST a deep hum grew,
Where Heaven met Earth, forever new.
We peered across Asia, vast and old,
A tapestry of faith, stories untold.
The journey began, on April’s dew,
A quiet conversation, breaking through.
For God’s Word that was planted, in heart and mind,
Now resonates, for all mankind,
Dispelling the sound of silence.
Through East Asia’s mountains, Indo China’s soul,
Southeast Asia’s stories, making spirits whole.
South Asia’s urgency, a heavy plea,
For 1,103 language groups, longing to see.
For God’s Word that was planted, in heart and mind,
Now resonates, for all mankind,
Dispelling the sound of silence.
No longer just access, but God’s Word made known,
In language of dreams, on hearts alone.
Pentecost’s echoes, heard far and wide,
Reverberating where truth long died.
More than 277-thousand chapters now shine,
741 languages received the Spirit divine,
And the sign flashed out, for all to see,
The Word of God, sets all hearts free…
But 265 language groups in Asia are still in darkness,
And 184,095 chapters still remain…
As we navigate this final week, guided by the voices of Samuel, Solomon, Zechariah, and Zephaniah, the focus sharpens on the specific translation needs across the four diverse regions of Asia – don’t just give a verse, give a *chapter.
(*Average number of verses in a chapter: 44)
